Performance installation “The city as a stage II – story of the walker”, a continuation of the research presented within the framework of the national pavilion and the student pavilion of the Republic of North Macedonia at the Prague Quadrennial for Performance Design and Space in 2023 as part of the platform for interdisciplinary spatial performing practices, The city as a stage.

8 pm – PART 1: The city as a stage – lost (modernist) utopias.

Performance of a performance/installation “The City as a Stage II – a story about the Walker”, a continuation of the research presented within the framework of the national pavilion of the Republic of North Macedonia at the Prague Quadrennial for Performance Design and Space in 2023; Authors: Alembic (Victor Tanaskovski and Iva Damjanovski), Besfort Idrizi, Victoria Ilioska and Anastasia Pandilovska. Curators: Filip Jovanovski and Ivana Vaseva.

12 pm – 6 pm – PART 2: RARE EXPERIENCES OF THE CITY AS A SCENE– Opening of the Spatial installation – archive of the research within the framework of the platform of the city as a scene in the period 2013 – 2023. Within this archive, the project Once in a Lifetime – Rare Experiences of a City as a Stage will be exhibited, part of the national student pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial (PQ 2023), curated by Kristina Lelovac and Filip Jovanovski, with the participation of Martina Peneva, Dimitar Milev, Tamara Jerkov, Deniz Ajdarevic, Aleksandar Jovanovski and Martina Petresca.

PART 3: PERFORMANCE IN PUBLIC SPACE

12 pm – 1:30 pm – RARE STUDENT EXPERIENCES FROM THE CITY AS A STAGE – discussion moderated by Kristina Lelovac (actress and performer, FDU-UKIM Skopje) and Miodrag Kuch (ZK/U-Berlin). Marketa Fantova (artistic director of the Prague Quadrennial PQ).

1:45 pm – 3 pm – SMARTER CITIZENS 02

Performative presentation of the work process with students from the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – UKIM Skopje, as well as other related art faculties in the country in October-November 2023. This work process is part of the long-term project The City as a Stage: Performing Public Space. The work process included the development of a method of reading the city and different urban contexts that will later aim to transform into a performance and/or intervention in a public space. The process of working with the students was mentored by Filip Jovanovski, Miodrag Kuch (K/U Berlin), and Boris Bakal (Shadow Casters – Zagreb) in cooperation with the Creative Team part of the City as a Scene platform: Ivana Samandova, Dimitar Milev, Martina Peneva, Tamara Dzherkov, Andrea Markoska.
