This reimagining of The Maids by Jean Genet unfold through 15 experimental scenes that blend choreography, text, and dance. The story explores the complex love-hate relationship between two maids, Madame, and Monsieur. Trapped in cycles of servitude and fantasy, the maids long for freedom but remain bound by their desires and the oppressive dynamics of power.
Just like in life, some use their suffering not as a wound but as a weapon, twisting their victimhood into control, manipulating, intimidating—demanding sympathy while showing none.
In this theatrical mirror, everyone is reflected.
Some will recognize themselves.
Others will look away.
And some will find that their grip was never as strong as they imagined.
In this theatrical mirror, everyone is reflected.
As the boundaries between reality and illusion blur, their rebellion drives them toward an inevitable and tragic conclusion.
